Krillion Unlimited

Quick answer
Krillion Unlimited is an official mode on the Krillion site, separate from the Daily Dive. The Daily Dive is the same seven prompts for everyone and resets once a day. Unlimited draws on its own pool of prompts, so you can keep playing after your daily run is over. The rarity scoring is the same in both — the harder your answer is to think of, the more points it's worth.
What is Krillion Unlimited?
Krillion launched with more than one way to play. The Daily Dive is the part most players know: seven prompts, one attempt a day, the same set for everybody. Unlimited is the extra mode that sits alongside it. Instead of one fixed set of prompts, it serves prompts from its own pool, which is what lets you keep going once your daily attempt is spent.
You'll find it inside the official game — look for the Unlimited entry in the site's menu (it's sometimes labelled "Unlimited Classic"). It isn't a third-party clone or a fan remake: it's part of the official game itself, which means the answers, the tiers and the scores all come from the same system as the daily puzzle.
The important thing for anyone trying to score well is this: Unlimited is where you can experiment. In the Daily Dive you get one shot at a prompt and then you find out how rare your answer was. In Unlimited you can keep trying, see how the game reacts, and build an instinct for the difference between an answer that sounds rare and one the official list actually accepts.
Daily Dive vs Unlimited
| Daily Dive | Unlimited | |
|---|---|---|
| Prompts | The same seven for every player, worldwide | Drawn from the mode's own prompt pool |
| How often | Once a day, then it's locked until the reset | You can keep playing without waiting for a reset |
| Scoring | Rarity tiers, 10–100 points per answer | The same rarity tiers |
| Best use | Your one shot at the day's challenge | Practice, and hunting rarer answers |
How to play Unlimited
- Open the official Krillion game in your browser.
- From the menu, choose the Unlimited mode rather than the Daily Dive.
- You'll get a prompt and a short countdown. Type your answer and submit it before time runs out.
- Your answer is scored by how rare it is inside the official answer set — from 10 points for the most obvious answer up to 100 for the rarest.
- Play a few rounds. You're not burning a daily attempt, so this is the cheap place to find out which of your instincts are actually rare.
How to score higher in Unlimited
- Treat "rare" as "specific", not "clever". A joke answer is very often a Too Clever answer, and those are only 15 points. A real, named, slightly obscure thing is what lands in the 85–100 range.
- Guess the size of the pool first. Before you answer, decide whether the prompt is a wide one or a narrow one. Prompts with hundreds of accepted answers have room for something unusual; prompts with thousands are dominated by obvious answers.
- Skip your first instinct. Your first instinct is the same instinct everyone else has. In Krillion the most obvious answer is the Plankton answer, 10 points, by design.
- Go one layer more specific. "Cabin" is common. "Rondavel" is rare. "Cabin" → "log cabin" → "A-frame" is the kind of ladder that moves you up a tier.
- Stay inside the official list. An answer can be perfectly reasonable and still be rejected — only answers the game accepts count. If a guess feels slightly off the beaten path, it's worth a second thought rather than an instant submit.
Questions people ask
Do you need an account or a payment to play Unlimited?
No. Krillion is a free browser game — you open it and play. Unlimited sits inside the same site, with no separate sign-up.
Does Unlimited affect your Daily Dive score?
No. They're separate runs. Your Daily Dive score is the one tied to the day's shared prompts, so playing Unlimited doesn't change it.
Why did a reasonable answer get rejected in Unlimited?
Because only answers on that prompt's official list count. Each prompt comes with a fixed set of accepted answers, and an answer that sounds sensible but isn't on the list scores nothing — the same rule as the Daily Dive.
Is Unlimited the same as the Daily Dive with more rounds?
No — the Daily Dive is one fixed set of seven prompts a day. Unlimited draws from its own pool of prompts, so you'll see ones the daily never served.
