How September 29 played out
The flag prompt was the day's real trap. Its 192-answer list went well past stars, crescents and crosses — it also accepted specific charges and emblems, which is how an armillary sphere (Portugal's older flag) and a tunduk (the crown of a yurt, on Kyrgyzstan's flag) both paid the full 100 points.
The chair list at 1,017 was the second-widest of the day, and that width worked against the obvious answer: writing plain chair scored Plankton, while the two answers that took the top tier were a ducking stool and a sedan chair. Same pattern on insurance — hole-in-one insurance and twins insurance both paid 100, which is exactly the kind of policy most people assume isn't real.
Sportify's billion-stream list was the generous one: Arcade by Duncan Laurence and Snowman by Sia both reached the top tier. On the 10-foot animal prompt the extremes paid: the bootlace worm (the longest animal measured) and the slender giant moray. And the hair-product prompt ended up rewarding two Victorian-era products most players have never heard of — Bandoline and Macassar oil — which is a fair summary of how Krillion works: the everyday answer is the cheap one.
